After developing 8 senior living communities and planning 4 more developments in the south, PinPoint Commercial LP is creating a new company, PinPoint Senior Living, to focus exclusively on the existing and new developments.  The Houston based commercial development company plans to build senior living communities in Texas in Amarillo, Lubbock and El Paso, as well as in Santa Fe, New Mexico, according to a company release.  Each community will have 86 units and will employ around 40-50 people when fully leased.  PinPoint also plans to open a new community in Florida and Schertz, Texas, according to its website.

Charles Turner, principal at PinPoint Commercial, will lead the developments as newly appointed president of PinPoint Senior Living.  Groundbreaking dates or expected completion dates for the properties are not available.  The company has opened Texas location in Katy, Keller and Georgetown, as well as in Georgia and Florida.

Houston’s aging population caused an influx of senior living facility expansions in 2012, when PinPoint collaborated with Atlanta based Thrive Senior Living LLC on PinPoint’s Katy location, The Legacy at Falcon Point,  4 of Houston’s 5 largest assisted living communities expanded or announced expansion plans that year.

In April 2014, PinPoint Commercial announced plans to build out a $250 million mixed-use complex, Woodland Creek, for residential development on 75 acres in The Woodlands.  It was PinPoint’s first mixed-use development project.
